Are you sure the new battery is installed correctly? Just asking, trying to think of the simplest things first...

When I got my TT last Fall, the remote was non-functional--dealer said they go bad after a bit of time. I ended up buying a new one from Suncoast for around $80+ and had a local indie shop program it for $50--a lot better than the $400 the dealer quoted me

I was wondering that too... I have it so the writing on the battery is facing the top...
but I was looking at it and I see a contact touching the bottom so probably positive but I do not see any contact that touches the side or top for negitave connection.
does anyone have a pic of this installed??

If the LED stays dark you either have a battery installed improperly, a bad battery or a faulty key fob.

Try a reset of the key fob:
put the battery in reverse polarity for 15 seconds, then install it correctly.
