Went to the track for the first time!

What a great time. For my first time I think all went well. Kept her on the track at all times all while reaching speeds near 140. i had the pss10s set at 5fr/6rr which felt good at the track and on the drive to and from. I will play around more with those settings and tire pressure next time.

I did get a brake pad wear light towards the end of the day though. I am sure it is for the rears because the front has new rotors and pads. I did not think i pushed the car or rode the breaks that hard but we will see.

With all that said I am hooked....and so the slippery slope begins.

they often have Friday tire test days and you can run a half day of open track for $100 or full day for $175...after you get used to running in traffic they are a lot of fun (some very fast racecars out there sometimes)..

I have never taken mine to the track but I would love to! only fear is that something happens out there and I'm stuck with a car that I have to pay to repair out of my pocket instead of claiming insurance .

Beautiful turbo, love the color

These cars are made for the track. Sounds like you had fun. I am heading to Infineon on Thursday, anyone else going to be there?

I recommend getting a LOT of clear bra before you get to far along... Especially the WHOLE HOOD and the roofline infront of the mooonroof.

Speaking from experience, unfortunately...

This is absolute truth. While any Porsche is a great street car, every Porsche should be experienced on a racetrack.

The slippery slope is a result of the greater the experience of the driver, the greater will be the experience enjoyed by the driver on the track, and then it really starts to be a great experience.

It's definitely addicting! It's gotten to the point my fiance jokes that we can't go on a vacation unless there is a race track within 15 miles LOL. I tried to get her hooked, but picked a 105 degree event to do so at Sebring, big mistake.

Shaunt, congrats. The first time out, there is a lot going on. I remember I didn't feel my car wallowing in the turns the first time. Second time it was obvious. Crank down the PSS10's to the stiffest setting and the track experience will be better. Enjoy.

Clear bra is a good idea.

Yeah, I know they are made for it. My concern is that someone could hit me or me them, either way I just don't want to pay for that. Maybe one day Ill give in!
