Tire Advice
Gettin my Sumitomos put on this week. Swapping out my PS2's. Damon at Tirerack says you get 95% of the performance at 50 % price... look forward to seeing how they stack up on street and track.... happy to save the cash as long as performance is preserved, and Damon felt very confident that this would be the case.
I have the Pirelli Pzero's and have been told the fronts cup very easily.
The ones I have on the car now are cupped and I will either have to replace them (the rears are still good) or spend more $ and go with a new set of 4 (another brand).
Until then I plan to drive it hard and get the feel of the car before I decide.
I will have the alignment done once I replace the tires since damage is done already to the fronts.
Any advice or comments on the Pirelli's or other recommendations?
Also I was told about Nitrogen filled tires. Is there any value to this ? I would think not unless you have your own tank of Nitrogen handy when you need to adjust the pressure.
Strictly weekend street car.......possibly headed to the track as time progresses.
