I really like the "tear-drop" headlight style of the 996.. I have no idea what everybody else is complaining about them. Nice picture Scott!

 

I think long-time 911 addicts think the only way the headlights should be is round. I'll admit the first Porsche I ever bought, and the first Porsche I ever considered buying, was a 2000 996. Other than the performance never was that wild about them before. Seemed to hodge-podge in design and not sleek enough. The 996 changed that for me. And I guess lots of other folks since Porsche has never sold so many cars (good and bad on that I know...).

In any case, it just makes me glad in a way as I won't have an itch to sell my GT3 at least until the 998.

Great pic Scott, the 997 headlights are nice but I am a big fan of the 02+ 996 headlights, they are very unique and resemble no other marque.

 

I will soon arling, need some mod days to do several things. ;-)

 

I agree with You, Scott!

 

To placate fans of the 996 who would never dream of buying a 997 because it's too much like a 993, my sources tell me the soon to be released "998" will revert back to the 996 style headlights.

 

I like both style headlights, I don't know why lots of people complain about the 996 lights, they look just as good imo...

 

Great shot Scott. That would be a sweet desktop background if you have it in a high rez.

 

I never liked the pre-2002 headlights, but the Turbo lights are great. They are so incredible aggresive and they are scream Porsche to me. I think that those lights really compliment the turbo/wide body design
