ODB2 / Flash port not reading??

Guys,

I tried taking my car in for inspection today, everything passes, they go on to plug in the OBD2 scanner, and nothing. It says no connection is being made.

Any idea what would cause this? We tried just plugging in a Snap-On code reader, and same issue - no connection detected.

My on-board computer reads no message present for problems, and I have no CEL.

Car is a EVO GT700 so would have been flashed through there for their GIAC program before.

Any thoughts?

It is sometimes difficult to get connection as the port itself is not well supported...I usually try to get my hand behind the port to support the plug-in...Check pins on the cable...wiggle the connection...gl
