New Project called B9R Under Construction...at BBi
Heads are coming back next week. Engine on the floor and a big mess. 9ff was over at BBi yesterday and more surprises on the way. I will give you a hint, starts with C... and ends with S. We are going to go for more mid range and up top power. Looks like I may get some help from the 9ff engineers. More pics coming soon.
I have the patience of a fetus, tell me what they are doing NOW!!!!! I am going to make a special trip out there when it is done....
but tell us now, do not resist.
There you have it now, are you happy D? Another monster will be born

Cams and studs on the way Joe.
Well, I heard that the 9ff cams will increase the lift and duration by a huge margin and with the GT3 cam synch pickups to take full advantage of the variocams. We will use a GT3 ECU code to tweak the power, there you have it now. Engineering at its best guys.
very interesting. I hope this turns out perfect.
no rush. better to wait and have a good outcome. But I would definitely stay involved in every step. Like the issues that GT3 cams have on turbo heads. they gotta get resolved before you sustain damage, which I am sure all that is resolved
I have gt3 heads with a world cup challenge head... runing gt3 code... custom cam hold down tools had to be made... etc....
Bottom line: my experience tells me that bigger cams come on way later.... thus the TQ is a little bit flat in the midrange... so before you put those 9ff cams make sure they dont come on at 5500 or later...
BTW,
The stock GT3 has 45 degrees of camshaft movement available and goes
from 90 -> 135 degrees lobe centerline.
The 996tt has 30 degrees of camshaft movement and stock goes from
95-125 degrees lobe centerline on the intake.
