Green Turbo, did you do the alcantara work yourself? If so, can you post how you did the dash and the door panel? That's great work.

That looks sick!

I've been thinking of doing the same sort of thing (fed up with the plastic!). I'd LOVE to hear more about how you did it, if it's the sort of thing an ordinary mortal could do themselves, if this is something you are an expert at (e.g. make a living at), where you got your supplies, how much it cost, how you got the stitching done (e.g. around the instruments), how many beers I'd have to buy you to get you to do my car, if you started with leather or plastic parts, if you think it would be easier/harder to do in leather, how well it's holding up, and what's the meaning of life...

Many Thanks,
Graham

Consider this a pre-emptive warning about any more "+1"s. Let's limit the discussion to alcantara-related items, please.

This is a very cool upgrade, your cars look awesome GT!

Overall, is the durability of Alcantara on par with leather? I know manufacturers have been using it for a while now but I haven't seen info how it holds up over time.

We have been using Alcantara on motorcycle sport seats for many years. It holds up well.
