Exhaust(ed)

In my opinion, exhaust has to be the most subjective aftermarket mod. I did FVD first and then tubi, and I have to say Tubi was the best choice. It took a lot of faith since I had tubi on a my first C4 and it was horrible. My girlfriend complained about the drone (and that was from bed) as I drove away about a mile away. I have an 02TT (Champion MD dyno at 650hp on pump), am running headers, bigger turbos, flash etc and the car has a nice, understated tone while driving as a human. Once you nail it though, all hell breaks loose. If you are looking for the loudest, Tubi is not the choice. I have friends with TechArt, RUF etc and it is comical to listen to us boast. My best advice is go the dealer / shop and drive the car with the system installed. All the videos in the world do no justice to seat of the pants driving to determine what YOU really like. I am sure I will get nailed here but the HP gains from all the top choices, I believe, are inconsequential. It comes down to taste. Guys who swear by Fabspeed think Tubi sounds too Italian. Guys with Tubi think Fabspeed gives you a headache. I must of read 1000 posts before I made my choice. Until I sat in the car and drove it, my mind was not made up. Good luck and let us know.

Tough one to answer. Which bass player is better, Marcus Miller or Brian Bromberg? Sound is so subjective. I like my Europipe, but I don't dislike the others you mentioned and I'd be happy with any of them. I recommend you find some guys in your area with the exhausts you're thinking about and listen to theirs. There are clips on the internet, but it's best to hear them in person. Good luck.

To each his own - especially on exhausts. Like an idiot, I went through three before I found one that I liked. I would recommend going to car meets and listening and when you find one that sounds good to you, see what they're driving.
