Ruf has done a TT cab. There was a very good article published in Excellence magazine on the car at least a year or more ago. If I'm not mistaken, another Ruf TT cab was produced and delivered to someone in California; in fact, I think there has been a thread on 6speed about the car.

A Ruf TT cab is a car produced by Ruf with a Ruf VIN, a Porsche TT cab with Ruf upgrades is not a Ruf TT cab, big difference.

Issue #112 August 2002. It's a great article that uncovers some interesting stuff. For instance, when RUF couldn't get the necessary engine cooling (the car is a narrow-body without openings on the sides for the intercoolers) they reversed the grille slats on the rear decklid and that seemed to work. The car was built for a lady entrepeneur by the name of Gelly, it's dark blue (lapis I think) with grey leather, GT3 seats, the works. It's also a tiptronic, 520bhp @5800rpm according to the magazine.

If you put him, Shank, 6.0SE and cjv together, I dont think that there is a single supercar that is not owned between the 4 of them...

I remember there being one in the pics of the Carmel, CA meet... coolest feature is that the cab can be operated by the key-fob, something that US cars dont have (wonder why though?)

While I don't have pics, a friend of mine has sent his brand new tt Cab for RUF to work his magic on. It's a 550HP tiptronic in Riviera Blue and it looks stunning.

Techart makes a product that allows that function.
