That is a new one on me. Ceramics smoking after one lap? The standard brakes did better than that, right? Weird.

2008 Gallardo at 6000 ft on morning run very cool temps. The correction factor is 1.28. So 278 awhp uncorrected at the wheels. Keep in mind altitude sucks.

GTR dyno, same day same morning as Gallardo. The correction factor is 1.15, which is 372 awhp uncorrected\
FI helps at altitude. However, the trap speeds tell the story and an LP560 should always be faster than a GT-R.

1000hp GT-R? Anyone legitimately claiming this? And what transmission was swapped in?

SH*T

I knew I should have got his number ... I asked if he's on any boards and he said no. The car been in the states getting all the work done. There's 80g's into it as is so far. I'm SURE i'll see him again...where I live its a tight little area with some sick rides around. I have some pics...dunno how to attach em though.

Didn't mean to hijack the thread.

It was my understanding the turbos are integrated into the exhaust manifold? Which means a custom fabrication would probably introduce some interesting heat and packaging issues.

Not only that, the tranny couldn't handle it, period.

I say it was a goofball (they occur with every brand) and we've all spent too much time speculating on a 1000hp GT-R.....

WTF? you gotta be kidding me. So replacing turbos is as costly as replacing the tranny? Why would anyone make such a design? I presume it is for better efficiency, but it just killed the heavy mod aftermarket costs. that sucks
