AE Performance places second at Redline Time Attack with only a GIAC flash!

Buttonwillow Raceway marked the Redline Time Attack season opener on March 28th and 29th, 2009. Rich Taylor and the team from AE Performance were in attendance with their GIAC powered 2003 Porsche 996 GT2. Though already potent in stock form, the GT2 was also outfitted with GIAC performance software, unleaded race fuel, and Toyo R888 tires. The suspension, brakes and exhaust system were 100% factory stock for the event. Shaking down with times in the mid 2:01’s on Saturday, Rich was able to break under the 2 minute mark on Sunday with a best time of 1:59.501. This earned a second place finish in the RWD modified class and a 5th place modified class finish overall. Congratulations to Rich Taylor and AE Performance for a fantastic performance!

They are 18" Kinesis K28 wheels. They were custom finished with semi-gloss black centers and gloss black lips. I believe the closest that Kinesis makes now is the K29.

They used Status Ring GT alcantara/carbon. The car was full factory weight other than the seats and wheels.

Wants again, you guys come out on top!!! You guys have your "flashes" down to a science!
I always tell customers that they will have the BIGGEST smile on the first test drive after the flash because it's such a "Night and Day" difference!!!
