ferraris had timing belts..up to the 430 model.. they need to be changed, lambo have timing chains.. I never had any problems with my gallardo... my 308 runs different each day.. lol

Boca, it did help lol . the G would be used like my TT is now when its nice out driven about 2 times a weeks maybe 3 cuase i dont like driving stuff like that to work... you know how it is .. and yeah i have a daily driver that i use for every day.

I get waves and attention from all comers, M6's, S6's, zo6's, mustang cobras, even wanna e 335i's. I give em a wave and push (usually scorch em a bit, too)
But heres the thing.

Driving home last week I saw another 996 TT, pulled along side, traded cheery hellos and engine revs and all was right with the world.

A few minutes later a black gallardo passed me, sick looking car, so i went after him to play, say hi, whatever. The dude would not even LOOK at me, let alone say hello or rev it a bit. My 996 TT is no slouch. I could probably give him a run with my 575 hp, but with his windows down he would not even give me the time of day.

Own a Gallardo and you are automatically a snob until proven otherwise.

 

i had an opportunity to acquire an 08 gallardo spider for 100K off MSRP! it had less than 2000mis. went with new 09 977tt (modded) instead; have not regretted it. proximity of lamdo dealer was an issue. also 997tt seemed more practical. but if it were LP560-4 and $$ was not an issue; NO BRAINER lambo hands down, soory

 

Boca, a friend of mine and maybe mutual friend has a nice 05 Yellow Gallardo for sale in Boca. 6 speed but modded very tastefully with everything you can think of from wheels to stereo in pristine condition and looking to sell it if your interested.

 

You are wanting to mod it for a reason, you are contemplating this for a reason.. That reason leads me to believe, your heart is already set and made up, go for the Gallardo man.

 

Sounds like you miss the Gallardo. For me the 996tt is one car I always wanted. I loke the Gallardo as well, but I don't like being stared at as I drive around, to much of an attention getter for me. But I do love the G. Great German car Probably the only option to the 911 turbo for me. Good luck with the decision. If your not getting the LP560, you will miss the insane reliable power the 996tt is capable of. The LP is extremely fast,

 

well I think I am going to keep my 996tt and do the mods I want.. going to hold off on the Gallardo.. maybe reconsider it or something else next year. Let the mods begin.

 

Boca, I want you to get the Gallardo. I like spending other people's money.
