i voted ruff but ,
the techarts definitely have a "smoother" shape which fits the 996 body

both would look sweet IMO

Not sure if you care, but I vote against the Techart every time. They look great but they charge forged wheel prices for cast wheels. As far as I know (I could have been giving false information), their wheels are made by a very respected wheel manufacturer in China that makes wheels for a lot of companies - but they are cast except for the new Formula III.

RUF seems to be a modular wheel, though I admittedly know very little about RUF products.

If the decision is between those two, go RUF, though I can think of many ooptions I personally would choose before either of them.

Kraf

Thanks for the input. I personally like the 5 spoke style. And have heard the stories about the TA. But I have had 4 sets and one cracked on me last week. BUT the previous owner had had them repaired (didn't tell me that) and the crack was next to a repair and then broke a spoke.

But I have had great luck with my other sets. no breaking or bending. Granted Denver roads are pretty good compared to NY and Chicago etc.

The RUF are hands down the best looking wheel on the market.

If you think TechArt is bad, check out the prices for Ruf's cast wheels, and then fork up the additional $$$ for their forged wheels...

I love'em anyways...

Have you consider HRE 3-piece wheels?

Nothing against TA, but sooo many Porsche owners have their wheels. Not many folks have the RUF wheels, not to mention they're so beautiful, so they get my vote!!
