Sl65 11.7@126

I can honestly say that above 60, its accelerates faster than ANYTHING I have ever driven on the streets, including GT2's, stage 2 turbo's, stage 3 turbo's, stage 2 X'50's etc. I still enjoy taking my turbo cab into the canyons, or late at night on the freeway, but for daily driving, I always drive the SL65 now. Its so comfortable, I don't have to worry about traffic killing my left foot, it has massage seats, ventilated seats, DVD nav, DVD audio, MP3 audio, voice-activated phone, satellite radio---all factory-integrated stuff. When I get an open road, this thing is just scary. I have stopped testing its acceleration because I can't see that far ahead. Things just arrive so much faster than I expect or am used to. Before I got it, I thought I was just gonna play with it and sell it, but now I am totally in love with it. Bentley GT, Vanquish, Vanquish S, DB9, all become pointless for me now. I cannot think of a better daily driver. At $179K plus options, its a very expensive SL, but from a different point of view, its a bargain considering the only factory cars faster doing a 1/4 mile and trap speed are the Enzo, Carrera GT and SLR, with maybe a Ford GT thrown in. None of those, however are as suitable as a daily driver and is a convertible.
Being a co-pilot in an SL 65 frequently I can honestly say that it is unlike anything else on the road. Its acceleration is so smooth and seamless that you cannot believe how fast you start to make forward progress. As for the brakes, they are simply phenomenal, just looking at the floating rotors inside the 19" wheels and huge calipers you have no doubt they are straight off a race car. The automatic transmission is a marvel and I am not a big fan of cars without a clutch but the last thing I would want to have to think about is shifting when that beast launches. A lot of people say that its not a true sports car and that it is too heavy but if any of the doubters got the chance to take a ride I promise that they would be weak in the knees when when the ride was over. It's that good.
I think a stage 3 turbo's, stage 2 X'50's is faster than a SL65.
the 65's are almost a 1,000 lb more thana 996tt manual, and based in this EVO article a stage 3 turbo's, stage 2 X'50's should be really cloese even with a SLR, and faster than a CLK-DTM.

a same test done for the same magazine to a stage 2 X'50's was doing 0-150 mph on 17.8 sg like an SLR.
the DTM:

I do undertand that felling is one thing but numbers are the rule.
and for me the best Benz to get is the KLEEMANN C/CLK 55K S8 for 80-90k. & 600 Hp, 760 Nm and 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds!
