Gemballa Competition 18" Wheels Quality?

Hi all, I'm seriously considering the Gemballa Competition 18" wheels for my IAGTR, and I've heard a few questionable comments on the quality of this product. Does anyone have some real world experience with the long term durability of the alloy and finish on these wheels?

The attached picture is courtesy of WheelEnhancement.com, which is an excellent source for wheels.....

Sincerely,
Paul

Those wheels are very 1980's, I think you could find much nicer.

I like HRE's with color matched or black center.

You can see lots of wheels here:

Paul, I have some HREs on my car. You can check them out if we hook up this weekend.

Those wheels are of high quality, relatively light and manufactured by Speedline for Gemballa. I also think they look very good on the 996TT w/o excessive bling.

Of course, in all things of a subjective nature, your opinion is what counts the most. Here are a few photos of the Gemballa wheels on my previous Turbo for your perusal.

Wheels are very subjective. However, I happened to have experience with these wheels as I had them on my Boxster. They were beautiful, light weight and very durable. I used them on the track several times, never had a problem.

Nothing wrong with a little posing though.

I am selling a set of the Gemballa Competition 18s. They are high quality, made by Speedline, and can take a beating on bad city streets.

Well it seems that the more I look at all the wheel choices, the more I realize that I just haven't found the right one. Nothing I've seen has the right combination of style and racing. The Gemballas look 'purposeful', the Kinesis look 'bold', but nothing seems to grab me. Maybe I'm just too picky.....

Sincerely,
Paul
