installed Akuratt's lightweight battery kit

Just finished installing Akuratt's lightweight battery kit. I had an Optima gel battery before and Akuratt's kit saved me 16 lbs. I think it saves around 25 lbs. over the stock factory battery. The kit is a snap to install and looks very professional.

Gotta get rid of some of this pig's weight

Just FYI...

Thanks John,

Glad you like it... Fred, myself and quite a few of the San Jose crowd are running around with it

I sed to use the Odessy 680 but it would go dead after 2 days of no use This one is much more for a street car and has the power of the regular batteries.
PS You're "pull" tab for the fire extinguisher went out on Friday afternoon

Yeps that's the Oddessy 680 that I used to have but the car wouldn't start after a couple of days of use. It was lighter but just not practical for a street car/daily driver....

sharkster, note the maintainer wiring. No problem, if you use it.

I will warn you guys that if anyone installs this battery and expects to use it in a colder climate like some where there is winter (you guys suck!!) The battery will not handle the extra thump needed. It may be rated for it however the draw of the 996TT motor is far greater than you can imagine. The motors have HUGE drag compared to motors of the past.

Stephen...are you referring to the one Akuratt sells now (that I installed) or the Odessey smaller battery such as Chad uses?

Any that are half cell. So yes. You guys wonder why the battery is fine then you go hit the key and without warning they go dead. The amount of drag on the TT motor is huge.
