There are a few cars around that fit into that 0-180 mph time.

Ok, I know about yours and Kevin´s, but what about the rest? Would an EVO GT700 or GT800 reach a similar time?

Crash, you forgot about the first one to do it, the Gemballa GT750 EVO with about 860 hp at the crank among other things. Then you also have EL750's turbo.

OK, my bad. While we´re at it, how long would the TTP (Gemballa EVO & EL750) engines last at WOT on the Autobahn?

I bet Manthey's 996 Turbo can hit the numbers cjv is talking about.
Also, I believe that the GTR750EVO from Gemballa is actually based from a Mk. 1 GT3, not a Turbo.

I would have to agree with you on the Manthey.
I have the engine specs of the GTR 750 EVO. I don't know a thing abou the Mk 1 GT3 you are refering to. Can you tell me anything about it?

There is no best way. This is just an open discussion.
To the question. It is my belief no special built car can be the best at every contest. The fastest 1/4 mile car can't be the best track car. An all around car won't be the best at anything.
As for the above cars you mentioned, alot has to do with the gears. I wouldn't expect a car set up for blinding acceleration to also be an autobahn cruiser.
Each individual really needs to decide exactly what tickles their fancy.
