That doesn´t seem that fast. The Ruf 550 is supposed to get from 0-300 kph in just 27 seconds.

The worlds fastest accelerating (as opposed to top speed) street legal 996tt's are hitting 0-180 mph in about 17 to 18 seconds.

Hey, not fair! Killer Angel is suppposed to be a slow, underperforming 300k-wasted-in-it car! How can you break the hearts of all those who doubt her?

Crash,

There are a few cars around that fit into that 0-180 mph time.

Ok, I know about yours and Kevin´s, but what about the rest? Would an EVO GT700 or GT800 reach a similar time?

If the GT800 has 800 rwhp it would make it power wise, but not with stock gearing, running gear and tires. The EVO 750 and 800 make very respectable power, but you have to remember that is estimated crank hp. I would expect an EVO 800 to make around 660 to 680 rwhp.

Crash, you forgot about the first one to do it, the Gemballa GT750 EVO with about 860 hp at the crank among other things. Then you also have EL750's turbo.

OK, my bad. While we´re at it, how long would the TTP (Gemballa EVO & EL750) engines last at WOT on the Autobahn?

Certainly not as long as the Ruf.

I bet Manthey's 996 Turbo can hit the numbers cjv is talking about.

Also, I believe that the GTR750EVO from Gemballa is actually based from a Mk. 1 GT3, not a Turbo.

Tyson,

I would have to agree with you on the Manthey.

I have the engine specs of the GTR 750 EVO. I don't know a thing abou the Mk 1 GT3 you are refering to. Can you tell me anything about it?

Crash,

There is no best way. This is just an open discussion.

To the question. It is my belief no special built car can be the best at every contest. The fastest 1/4 mile car can't be the best track car. An all around car won't be the best at anything.

As for the above cars you mentioned, alot has to do with the gears. I wouldn't expect a car set up for blinding acceleration to also be an autobahn cruiser. Each individual really needs to decide exactly what tickles their fancy.

Try this Chad. Mark 1 964 based GT3 Mk1 NA motor with a similar kit. This one is to make a Mk2 GT3 NA motor 600 turbo charged.

That's why they make cars like Zonda, Enzo, and CGT so it can do all that in style plus back it up with warranty
