There's a possibility I may move there in the next year or 2. What does it cost to own a car in CO? Is the registration based on the car's value? Is there a property tax on cars?

In TX, it's $70/year regardless of car's value, etc.

 

It's based on value. My Turbo cost me about $3500 for plates ...

Every year they hit you but the amount will drop as the car gets older. I believe it also depends on the county that you live in, not sure though.
