Just got home from the hospital...
I wish you a speedy recovery. You made it out alive and walking which is the important thing. The next few days are crucial though, as d33p said, get to the doc's ASAP if ANYTHING hurts out of the ordinary.
mike did they ask to search your car???? sorry i just could not help myself on that one... i always watch my rear view when at a stop sign, saved my and my sons life once big semi with no brakes, i ran the signal and we lived, the semi ran the light and stopped on the sidwalk after knocking down a few trees. i was in a 76 turbo forgot all about that till now enjoy the new truck and be safe
Steve, Actually the female state trooper and I were cutting up when discussing the whole "search/don't search thing" in the hospital...
It gets a little complicated of the coming days... I'm flying to Florida on Friday for some R&R so I'll pay attention to the whole "pain" thing, But I really need a vacation gang...
I'll be in Ft. Lauderdale This Friday thru next friday... Anyone want to hook up, just email me at dat74z@yahoo.com

Mike, thankfully it's not worse, as others have said, pay very close attention to your body over the next few days. There's something called Walking Paralysis, which are very slight breaks within the spinal column that are often undetectable to xrays and sometimes even undetected by MRI's. The spinal cord is supported by the vertebra that are broken. These breaks are minute however can shift or break further through movement. If that happens, the Spinal Cord can be severed or pinched if that broken vertebra breaks further as a result of a further impact or twisting etc. Thus can leave the victim in temporary or permanent paralysis. So like Deep said, should ANY TINGLING or NUMBNESS appear, please go to the hospital or a spinal specialist immediately, even if it means calling an ambulance, and be sure to stabilze your spine. Make as little movement as possible especially in your extremedies because their motion could lead to a shift in the vertebra. Walking Paralysis is faily common with people who have diving accidents but can also occur in situations like car accidents. I don't want to alarm you, I just want you to be informed and not neglect your body by telling yourself that you're just sore from the accident when it may be something much more severe. Good Luck on a speedy recovery and enjoy that trip to Ft. Lauderdale. I lived there for a year, if you get a chance go out on a dive boat in the keys for some snorkeling or scuba if you're certified, its awesome!
So I was at a stoplight today, fortunately in my Dailydriver Dodge Cummins Diesel 3500... It was wet and there were two other cars behind me at the light... Then I heard it... Screeching tires... And then the impact... and another...
A driver in a SEMI apparently couldn't stop... he of course had TWO flats, TWO bald tires and faulty brakes... ******* had the nerve to tell the trooper that the light was YELLOW... It was, when I approached and came to a stop, and the HEAD of the line, three vehicles ahead of him...
They backboarded me out and into an ambulance and I was carted off to the hospital for some x-rays... Everything checked out OK, but man am I sore... Neck, back, lower back...
Man my truck is toast... Rear frame is bent and the bed is into the cab...
Just paid it off too... Pisses me off...
