Opinions On GMG Racing WC-GT Crossover Exhaust..?

Hello Everyone,

I think I am going to buy one of these beautiful exhausts from GMG Racing this week, it will be for my future Turbo, .

Does anyone have this exhaust on their car or even some opinions about it?

http://www.gmgracing.com/porsche_exh..._wcgt996.shtml

Thanks,
Alex

wow you start the modding without even having the car....

looks like an awesome exhaust. There been a lot of talk on crossover exhausts for these cars and I remember hearing about lost power in some cases depending on the design, but typically crossover is good. And the GMG looks like one of the better ones.

Lol, I must have an aftermarket exhaust always when buying any German sports car, it is my tradition to always put on the exhaust a few days after owning the car.

Alex,

I will shortly have info on a custom design that EVOMS is building for me on my GT780. I selected the cans. We are using some of the best cans money can buy, Coast Fab (Burn's Stainless). (GMG uses these cans) The cross-over will be very similar to the GMG design and others out there. My system will be 3" through-out and is cat-less.

Should have pics early this coming week.

Cheers,

Ben

Just let me know when your ready... We have you covered.

As an FYI we currently manufacture our own mufflers and they have been completely re-designed.

Early systems utilized a burns type muffler but this was only for a few systems.

Now thats what you call an exhaust, I'm sure this will be priced right too! Good stuff Marek.

I have the exhaust on my GT2. Mine is in stainless, not chrome.

I am very happy with the exhaust. The sound is great. Very loud when you want it to be. This exhaust adds a lot to the driving experience. Others in the know who have seen it have mentioned that it has great build quality. One of the best things about it is that it has no "swish" sound under heavy acceleration. I've heard other "performance" exhausts and they sound like an air hose gone bad under acceleration. The GMG WC exhaust has none of that. I describe it as a lower tone Formula 1 sound. No regrets with this system.

The only caveat is that it does have somewhat of a drone at highway speeds. It's not bad, but compared to stock it is definitely there. The drone quiets down between 2700-3000 RPM, which in 6th gear is about 80 MPH.

Here's the most recent pick of what my wife calls "my black girlfriend with the big ***". You can get a good view of the exhaust.

That has to be one of the most thoughtful exhaust made, especially when one considers the metal that you have used, the V bands are great choice and how the diameter never changes!
Great Job

MoeMonney is infamous around these parts
Question:

Wouldnt it be bad for the exhaust flow from one side to crash into the exhaust flow from the opposite side at the cross section? That would make the flow speed lower correct?
