Help! easy question about side windows

Hi. Just recently got my 01 turbo back from door speaker work.

When you partially pull on the driver's door latch handle from the inside, the window slides open a 1cm or so and the interior light comes on. Is the passenger side door supposed to do the same thing because it's not doing that on the passenger side. Trying to see if he screwed up something during reinstalling the door panel.

Both doors should behave the same - at least they do on my TT. Looks like you might have a bit more DIY on your hands !

Have you run the window up and down a few times - possibly the limits just need to be rest.

Might be worth a try.

If the guy installed speakers and the window isn't working right...then he should be on the hook for the fix-it-right. As long as you're sure that the passenger's side widow worked before you took it into him....there's a micro switch in the handle that activates the window to go up/down a few mm's upon opening and closing the door....if he took off the inside door panels to install the speakers, he could have either disconnected or broken that switch. He'll deny it of course....

Thanks, exactly what I was looking for.
Will talk to the shop. Should take care of it.
