what i do you think is a realistic price that i can get this for ?

its only 9 miles from my house so i suppose thats worth at least $2000 or so because i wouldnt have to deal with shipping it from accross the country and convenience etc

how much should i ask to be discounted because of the bumper scrape and curb rash ?

I think what they are asking is realistic, for the miles, if you ask me, but you might offer them $55k?

Buzzm,

I did alot of research before putting mine up for sale and I can say this is pretty expensive, even with the low miles. I've seen some base cars as low as $45K. For this car I'd say low 50s is about right. Actually I saw a car on e-bay for $35K with 55K mi., but I bet if you check it probably has a salvage title. BTW, check on your transport costs... $2000 seems pretty high.

No Aero Kit
No X50
Body and wheel damage

Just my 2 cents...

I think they are at least $10K on the high side - there are tons of these cars available today! It is not an X-50, no sport seats and just a little of the aluminium look stuff. "The rear bumper is an issue but can be fixed for a small amount of $$. To put it in perspective, I purchased a 2005 TT-S cab with 26k miles fully loaded and still under factory warranty until August for $64K recently. Offer them $52k and start from there, after you have a PPI done. My 2 cents.

Buzz,

Oh yeah... one more thought. In case you haven't thought of it... I would take any car you like to a trusted mechanic (dealer or indie) for a pre purchase inspection. It might cost a couple hundred bucks, but could save you thousands.

Good luck with the purchase...

I would agree that low 50's is probably a good price for that car. $62.9 is way too high especially for a scuffed bumper and some curb rash. I would think 62.9 is high even if the car was perfect, maybe mid 50's for a perfect one.

they are obviously high, i was thinking somewhere in the low to mid 50's

i was thinking that its worth 2k not to have to deal with shipping etc, every other car i see would need to be shipped

this is the other car i'm seriously looking at http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false

i'm leaning towards black and the ruff rims look awesome, and it already has a short shifter

obviously i'll be insisting on ppi,dme and paint check

I think that is price is high too. As an example, I bought my car before the economy tanked (last summer) for $60K. It had less miles than this one 13K and it came with both the stock and 997tt wheels. Now that the economy is in the toilet I'd say low $50s for this car is about right.

My 03 is the same. It looks like the faceplate was ordered in aluminum from the factory, or repainted. I'm hoping the latter, as I want to paint mine body colored.

I just purchased a couple of weeks ago my 2003 996TT with the same exact specs (including curb rash on a couple of the wheels - sigh!). I purchased my car locally (S.F Bay Area) from a private seller and the car has 26K miles with 18 months of CPO remaining. I paid $50K, so what they're asking seems a bit high given how soft the market is.

The Navi/CD looks exactly like mine.

Best of luck... these cars are amazing!
