Unhappy HELP!! Gas pump issue

Hi fellas,

While this is not an issue that stops my car from running or whatever, I do notice issue with my gas fuel gauge.

From the gas pump perspective, I have the following problem:
1. I can never take it to full, even though I know it's full (just can't pump anymore gas)

2. When I put in gas, the gas pump always stops prematurely. Like about half way to 3/4 full, it will stop. I have to pump gas manually until it stops again...and again...and again...until I see gas about to leak out to know the tank is full

3. Low gas indicator tends to show up a lot sooner than necessary

What's wrong here? This is just plain inconvenient.

the pumping issue could be due to a faulty vapor purge system/cannister and the vapor in the tank is making the filler stop...the vapor could also interfere with the proper operation of your fuel level sender

Do you turn the pump nozzle upside down when you fuel it?

Try holding the gas pump sideways or upside down. This solves it for me, although I still think I miss a gallon or two. I've learned to live with it.

At first, I thought you guys were joking about turning the gas pump sideways or upside down...but you folks seem serious that I will give it a shot.

From the actual gas gauge perspective though, I have never seen it go to full tank even though I know it has.

Seriously this has been covered many times...I personally would not turn the pump upside down...it is likely a filler tube problem or a sensor problem. search...there is also a possibility you need the tank sensor calibrated.

I have always had better luck on all my 911's turning the pump upside down. It just seems to work better.
