How often do you replace your tires?
Damn....I tried to address the lack of data and got nailed on semantics. So, did you take a major in statistical analysis and a minior in english?
Insofar as Porsche quality goes, given the warranty work....you should have what essentially amounts to a new car sitting in the garage.
447: It sounds more like your extended high speed driving is heating up the tires and eventually causing the centers to wear a bit faster than the edges. You might try dropping the 44 psi rear pressure down a bit to even out the wear across the face of the tire. Some guys will put a wide chalk mark across the tire and run it to see which portion of the tire isn't making contact with the roadway....then adjust pressure accordingly. I keep an eye on the groove portion of the treads (Michelin has a three groove pattern) and use that to gauge the pressure levels. I'm sure you've had them aligned too. Also...you usually see the right rear tire wearing faster than the left rear.

sum htr Z III's at 8,000 front and rear now, no real wear up front (really, <2mm), rears are half done.
My prior contis were 10k in the rear.... I think the sumi's will be 15 to 17k in the rear! No DE on them....fyi.
Upon putting on my suspension, I had things optimized not just for handling, but to be nicer than evil to the tires.....I gave up that last 1% of grip to get 2x tire life I think.
