Well we raced several times, from 40mph and 60mph rolls. He got me every time, but none by a full car length. He's 3150lbs + 200 = 3350 total. I'm at full stock weight, plus me (280lb) and a passenger who video taped (140lb), so he had a massive weight advantage. The only race I could've saw myself winning was one of the 40mph races where I brake boosted up to 1.3 bar, car went sideways, as was he, but as soon as I hooked I was off... Then shifted into 5th.
They were fun runs though, and I'm sure we'll run into eachother again. Hopefully before he gets his blower put on. Video will be up TBA. I don't have the proper software to upload the HD video, so who knows when I'll get that.

I also raced a friend on his 06 CBR1000RR.. And got him by a car length or so from 40-150mph. He's around 280-320lb by the looks of it, so that is the only reason I think I won. I also have those on video, but as I said, who knows when I'll get around to getting proper software.

 

Hey I give you the props for racing him and coming out like a man. Nothing wrong with that. Congrats on beating the CBR though.

Sounds like a lot of fun. If he only got you by less than a car length, I'm guessing he was a man of his word and did not spray. He must have a lot of restraint to be able to keep from pressing the little red button lol

 

Something is not right here...You said you are 600AWHP and only when you brake boost you managed to reach 1,3bar...so at what pressure do you get 600AWHP?Have you dynoed your car to see hp?Or you thing it is so...?Also have you tested any 60-130 time to see what your horses can do on the road?And finally WHY you had 2nd passenger?You should have placed him on the other car so to equalize weight...I believe that if you are 600AWHP and he does not use nitrous,you will beat him...

 

280-320 lbs? What are you guys eating up there? When I lived in Cracktown (I mean Albany) a place called Sovranas had the best pizza and sandwiches, I got to be one fat ****.

The race was about what I expected, a Z06 w/ similar hp usually is a touch faster than the TT.

 

well, I gotta tell you, the fact that your race was even close surprises me, with all that extra weight. He definitely did not spray. Between you and your friend you weigh 420lbs, the other guy maybe weighed what? say 220lbs, so you added 200lbs to the already heavier car. every 100 lbs is about 0.1 seconds in the 1/4, which is about 1 car length. Let's say that at your speeds that 200lbs would have been a car and a half length, you might have actually won had you not had a passenger. lots of fun anyway, I am sure.

next performance up grade for you - DIET (that's definitely my next one)

 

The boost peaks at 1.4 bar. I said the 1.3 bar comment because I really didn't think it'd get that high from brake boosting. The car was dyno'd/tuned @ EPL. I haven't tested my 60-130's yet, but I did get one of those RaceLogic Performance Box things so I will be trying soon. My passenger didn't know the guy in the Z06, so I wasn't gonna make him sit w/ him.

Way to hang so close with him! I wish my C6 Z06 race went as well.

 

ok...now that you tell you peak at 1,4 i assume you re about 600AWHP...however this is a very high number...you should definately find a way to equalize weight...and you will pass him easily...
P.S. in order to make my car even faster(and to minimize leather wear on my sport seats) i lost about 40lb...If you cant add more power,just loose some weight...
