This is quickly becoming a somewhat commercialized thread, so I'm going to lock this for now.

Giuliano, welcome to 6so! Someone will contact you shortly about becoming a sponsor, and hopefully we can unlock this thread soon.

There is something so incredibly unsatisfying about seeing and reading about titanium exhausts without seeing any weights quoted.

A reference to 200% weight loss was as close as we could get. I dream of getting my hands on that JIC version someday.

Maybe I missed something in this thread that was deleted before I got into it, but this is just my $.02...the original poster wasn't the company owner or an affiliate. Simply someone asking questions about the exhaust. The owner or a representative of the company came to the site to answer the questions posted. Just because he's not a sponsor means that he can't post the answers to the questions posed? I think that's horrible censorship. Yes we all like to support the sponsoring companies, but there are other companies out there as well who are not sponsors yet make very good quality products for our cars, should we not patronize these companies simply because they're not sponsors? Should we not be able to talk to enthusiasts about products sold or made by anyone other than the site's sponsors?

I think it's a great site and a company would be smart to sponsor the site to broaden their customer base and should be encouraged to do so. I do understand keeping companies from being able to Troll the site and hawk their wares without contributing. However this was a thread posed by a member to the other members of the site in order to exchange information on a product. We were lucky enough to have a representative of the product chime in, he wasn't soliciting. I understand it's a slippery slope, but I really don't want this to become a site that suppresses information simply because it's not a product of a sponsoring company.

Like I said, maybe I came into the thread too late and missed some things that have been deleted, but that's my $.02

Although, I agree with everything Scott Kelly just said (no relation), the biggest gripe I have is with the fact that we have a Vendors forum and yet some of our (some of MY favorite) vendors still interject their sales pitches into THESE posts, which really should be technical in nature only.

This is not reflection on Dan and Vivid in this particular post, since Dan was actually staying on topic and providing source info for the system he once sold.

Guys I know what you mean...
From my side I can say that I'm totally new in this forum and I didn't know about it before....
I've always been a sport cars enthusiastic and especially about Porsche. In my life to own a Porche it has always been a dream and in 2003 when I bought my first 996 turbo, I falled in love with it. Since then, I've always been a DIY'er....during this period I've improved my knowledge about the exhaust system in these cars and just to try I built by myself some handcrafted original stainless steel exhausts. Now, in this forum I've never tried to sell nothing I have only replied to some questions about my titanium exhausts.
Of course the moderator did their job and warned me saying that I was not allowed to put ads on the posts without a sponsorship account.....
For some users of course can be as a censorship.....I just opened an sponsorhip account and I will be able to answer your questions about Porsche cars and accessories on monday.
Anyway I'm happy to be a member of this active forum....

Giuliano

Welcome Giulano: There's always room for another sponsor who might have a desireable product. I wish you success, and hope that your product line can meet the test of quality control and performance. I'm sure there will be folks following your line to see who might install it and how it performs. It appears that some folks use any excuse to interject themselves into a discussion to keep their names on the marquis. This tactic becomes rather obvious and tiresome after a while.
