996 TT High Mileage...

I'm wondering to buy another 996 TT for daily drive use....I found some here in Europe with high mileage,do you guys think that 132000 MLS can be too high for this engine?
I have just the half mileage on mine with no issues at all!

there is an example of what I'm talking about:

Is it stock? Get it inspected, I have seen some with more KM than that.

I think the engine, and the car, can take it, most definitely. But I think it's always a good idea to have the car inspected thoroughly beforehand - including the engine - as that many miles are bound to have worn some parts out - hopefully they have been replaced already. Make sure, especially to check out the brake calipers, and the clutch feel. See how much spring is left in the... springs There are a lot of expensive components in this car that don't wear out after 30k or 40k miles, but after 120+ might need some work.

Additionally, make sure it's priced right, as the niche for high miles 996TTs is not enormous. TT buyers often put a premium on miles, or at least generally look for lower mile cars. I have 53k on mine, and there's certainly a market for that, but there's even more of a market for cars with 10-25k on them... It needs to be discounted *substantially* for it to make sense. These are solid cars, but they're not immune to physics (except when cornering).

You can NEVER assume that anyone treated their car well unless you know the person or they have an established reputation to uphold on the forums.

If the maintenance book shows regular oil changes and repairs as necessary through an authorized dealership, then a car with good records is a plus, and at least an indication of regular maintenance. It doesnt' tell you how he drove it....but having the DME downloaded and looking at the data will give you some indication.
