60-130 Event - Lonestar Motorsports Park - July 18, 2009
Many of you have heard about (or attended) our 60-130 events in the past. This is an opportunity for all of us to get together and have some fun with our cars without abusing them yet still be able to go over 130 mph legally! The premise is simple:
Rent dragstrip
Put a GPS based driftbox on your windshield (like a radar detector)
Roll through water box
Floor your car at about 20 mph
Hang on and let off around 135 mph
Get a GPS verified time it takes for your car to go 60-130
Here is an excellent article written about the 60-130 measure:
http://www.examiner.com/x-5826-San-J...mile-drag-race
When: Saturday July 18, 2009
Where: Lonestar Motorsports Park (Sealy, TX)
Time: Gates open at 2:30 pm and track is hot from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Cost: spectators are $15 and racers are $50 (same as always)
Caravan Info: meet at the Conoco gas station at I-10 and Eldridge (off Eldridge just north of I-10) at 1:20 pm. We will leave promptly at 1:45 pm to Lonestar.
The track will re-open at 7:00 pm and will be open to all 60-130 participants to drag race until midnight!

I have exciting news! I just got confirmation from Dusty Womack, Owner and Founder of www.mvpmotorsports.com as well as Owner and Founder of www.mvpgtr.com that he will be at our event in July.
He has committed to bringing the WORLD'S QUICKEST/FASTEST GT-R to our event on 7/18/09. He plans to run the 60-130 event and then plans to beat his own 1/4 mile world record...

He has previously run a 10.3@133... Sounds like a good run for Todd if he can get his car outta the hole!!!!
Sean, as for you...all it takes is a little bit of money brother...my lil' ol' Supra put 10 bus lengths on your car in one gear. I'm now retired from fast cars and simply enjoy driving a slow daily driver. Having said that, I challenge you to a 1/4 mile race at Lonestar on 7/18/09...I am putting it in writing and on a public forum and am putting up $100 per race, best 2 out of 3. You should have NO problem beating a slow GT-R in your 650 rwhp GT2... We can even have Todd do a Pink's style flag drop. Deal?

Pietro,
That was way back when before my current set up....I think I was running a 7.6 60-130 instead of a 5.79. I wanted to run you'r car w/ my new turbos but you kept ducking me everytime I called you out and then you got domestic and sold her (although a new baby is indeed worth mare than all the cars in the world).
It will cost me $50 in race gas and $50 admission to take your $100...but 3 races will put me up $200.

1. Compared to the black car, you were slow with your 7.6 and your 5.8.....wouldn't have been a race.
2. So are you accepting my challenge to race me from a dig for a 1/4 mile on 7/18/09 for $100 best 2 out of 3 at Lonestar Motorsports Park? My GT-R on PUMP GAS (the way I drive it daily) vs. your GT2 on whatever gas you want (yes I realize you don't have the ***** to run me pump gas to pump gas)...
Peter
p.s. it's best 2 out of 3, in other words when I beat you twice I get $200 and it's over...if I happen to fall asleep at the tree on one race and lose and then beat you the next we are even with the third being a $100 race...pretty simple
p.p.s. you better be on your game, b/c one crappy launch and this GT-R has you covered...

Sean will back out some way.I have watched a very mild modded GTR run 11.7 @ 122 back to back.It will not matter if Sean is trapping 140 if he can't get to the finish line better than a 11.5.We all know Peter will not be stock if he runs Sean.
Sean needs to offer Peter a 60-130 race.

I should break 11 seconds even in the heat. However "Break" is my concern....lets do this, Pietro, in order to protect your tranny and my axels, we will go from a 30 roll and I will give you 2 lengths. Each race will be for $100.
Sean sorry but you paying Lonestar has nothing to do with the deal. I am glad that you finally accepted a race. I look fwd to beating you in a slow car on PUMP gas.
Paulie - nice try brother, Sean is already in.
Now.....who wants to bet that Sean finds a reason to back out?
Peter
p.s. Sean, just bring me hundred dollar bills please

Sorry Sean, u already accepted the the race from a dig. You have 200 rwhp on me, 600 lbs weight advantage, ability to run race gas and crazy boost, etc... We are running from a dead dig as per the challenge you accepted. Toodles!
WOW that Peter is a tough cookie.Oh well Sean I guess you will have to learn to consult me before opening your mouth.Sean ask yourself this: Does your brain know what your mouth is saying?
