996 Ruf RTurbo?
996 Ruf RTurbo?
Folks-
Does anyone have experience with this car, and how does it compare with a 996 Porsche TT X-50? I have owned 3 997 TTs as well as a 996 TT X-50, and although the 997s may be an improvement (that's what everyone says!), I miss the 996 Turbo.
I have a chance to buy a 996-based Ruf RTurbo, and wondered if anyone has any experience with this car, and how it compares to the Porsche. I know this is a very general question, but I would be grateful for any advice.
Thanks in advance -Gerry

The single greatest 996 turbo variation that you could buy.
Perfect daily driver, autobahn cruiser or occasional track tool.
See the Ruf Faszination Video with Stephan Roser hanging the tail out in one around
every corner.
Good luck

Beautiful Yellow Ruf, but wow almost 2X the cost of what a low mileage 996 turbo is?
Please explain, I am a ignorant southerner and I need help understanding why it is worth this amount, especially in this market. Believe me I own specialty cars (Alpina) and I don't care what they are or who has made them, they are all undervalued right now.

Yes, the integrated roll bar is THE BEST option you could ever have on a car like ours! Also, a RUF 590 Turbo R did very, very well in the Standing Mile in California
a couple of years back and as per usual, the Car's owner drove it to and from the competition. It was Gulf Blue as I recall and did about 187 or so in standing mile.

Gerry there are a couple here in the DC area. PM me if you would like to talk to an owner of one. He is very active in PCA Potomac. The build quality is second to none. If I had the cash I would not hesitate to buy a Ruf car.
I am sure most have seen this, but its a great history..(Last time this was discussed I got waylaid about how its an overpriced badge and all this other stuff). Could not disagree more, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
