My independent replaced that part on my car when I bought it a few years ago. Wasn't too spendy as it's not the entire wheel/cluster, etc... Dealership will charge you an arm and a leg typically...

Same thing happened to mine a few months ago. The turn signal lock/ratchet mechanism broke internally. It would "lock" in one direction but not the other. Best price I found for a complete new 4-post stalk assembly was through Suncoast Porsche for just under $200. Unfortunately, you can't replace just the turn signal switch. At least not without some drilling and riveting of the stalk / switch assembly, and you can't simply buy the turn signal stalk by itself. There is a good DIY out there complete with good photos that shows how to remove and replace the steering wheel. Once you get the wheel off, the stalk switch assembly is not too difficult to replace. Remove a few screws and it's pretty much plug and play. Using the DIY for reference, I think it took be about a hour or so to swap it out. You do however need to have some modest skills, as you have to remove the airbag and wheel, and some of the plastic trim around the wheel can be a little tricky. For reference, my local dealer quoted me a rough estimate of $150 for labor to swap out the assembly (parts not included).

I have a PDF for instructions about how to remove the steering wheel that I can e-mail you if you need them. Feel free to PM me if you need them. Also, I just removed my steering wheel yesterday (following these instructions) and it's truly a piece of cake.
