How much could I expect to pay for a complete techart gts body kit (except for the rear bumper)? I want all the cf trims included and a set of black hre 547r. I know what CEC on santamonica charge but I keep hearing about cheaper shops.

we've done few Techart (complete GTS) cars including few members' car here. if u want the real Techart stuff we're probably the best source in LA. luting is about right but we have more room there as well. IMO, quality of the job is more important in this matter.

Hey 20c4s, do u by any chance have a client named Cary? Korean guy that currently drives an black sl 500 lorinser, but has had pretty much every car out there including a yellow techart 996 TT GTS.

Oh rite that was an sl55. Yah he told me he was gonna sell it. Just havent seen the guy for a while. U know he recommended you guys to me but at the time I still wanted to ride stock. Myabe well talk later?

 

You usually get what you pay for. I would not go to a random shop tp try and get a better deal on parts. Lucent is 6speedonline renowned for their quality and service. I would definately reccomend them to anyone in that area.

 

I would agree. My first experience with Lucent went great. I have not done business with them yet, but I will in the next couple of weeks. I am a good judge of character and these guys are for real.

No questions "lucent is where the mods are at"....

P.S Most of my parts will be techart but cant answer your questions about the costs.. not yet anyway

 

there is no way u can get techart @ half price...
i doubt it... when i bought my gts... i at least called 5 shops...
and i got close to invoice price for dealers... yet it's still way off from half price

 

Hey 20c4s, I ran into Cary at a club last night. He said he sold the cedes and is about to take delivery on a titanium 02 360. We also talked about the f430 and he said it might run about 50 over a probable 200 sticker. Does that sound right? If so it seems the 360 is a smarter purchase and it might be worth waiting 1 or 2 years for the monza. Decisions decisions...........?

 

TA996#3 - IMHO, the TA GTS kit looks incomplete without the rear bumper. It's like finding a hottie with all T and no A! Just my $0.02.

 

Yah, there is a slight issue with continuation of line. Ive seen Freds and Endras gts'. One with a stock rear and one with a TA rear. They both look good. Endras look more complete but I simply dont like the air exhaust on the TA rear as much as the stock air exhaust.

 

techart 996 - do the whole kit including bumper, do it at Lucent ... the car will be transformed, much more exotic look than stock ... with the TA rear bumper the car has a nicer stance also ... polar silver goes very well with the GTS kit
