Q for ECU programmers: MAF limit = ?

For those of you who've programmed 996T ECU's for bigger turbos pushing ~1.3BAR, I've got a question... what do you set your MAF limits to?

Mine appears to flatline at 425, which indicates the programmed limit. I'm just trying to elimate possibilities for ABS/PSM failure code.

Thanks,
Stephen

C'mon, guys... I know at least a few of you know the answer to this.

In fact, to anyone who has datalogged their 1.3~1.4BAR setup... what max MAF airflow readings are you seeing?

Anyone?

OBD2 returns Air Flow (gm/sec)=((b1*256)+b2)/100
b1 and b2 are 2 digit hex
So max value returned is ((255*256)+255)/100 = 655 gms/sec
I don't know the limits of the turbo hot film air mass sensor, but the ECU should be able to use your values.
The manual says the stock turbo max is 305 gms/sec
My GT2 with upsolute runs 380gms/sec
Thats about all I know for now.

Thanks for your input... at 380gms/sec, what boost are you at... 1.1~1.2 BAR?

Strangely, Bill and I are both maxing out at 425 readings at 1.1~1.2 BAR. And boost really should be tied closely with airflow between our cars with our mods.

Can someone boosting 1.3~1.4 BAR chime in here with your airflow readings?

Stephen,

Sounds like you need a piggyback type of computer such as a "Unichip", I previously had a different ECU won't mention the name and I adjusted the wastegates and had similar problems to what yoiu are getting, I took the car to a Tuner and had the unichip installed and got a lot more out of the car without going into limp mode, CEL etc.

Might be worth giving it a go...

Just my 2 cents worth, good luck.

George
