Have a look at the G8 GT, they can be had out the door for around 27k, throw a magnacharger on it for 7k, the brakes of the GXP for another k, DOD/tuning package from Livernois Motorsports for another 3k.

Will cost the same as a GXP, and you will have almost 600hp, with the potential for much more.

What's wrong with a Lexus IS 350? A 306hp four-door with paddle shifters and renowned Lexus driving comfort/luxury. Priced around 37k.

Or you could consider the new G37 sedan. Priced around mid 30k and what's good about this car is that all the trims have the same 328hp VVEL engine.

I'm considering getting the new E350 coupe Benz, that fits 4 full size adults!

 

I just checked....w/ rebates and discounts I can get a loaded G8 for under 29K, 6.5K off MSRP.

 

E Class coupe is a C class with the E name added to price it higher. It is NOT an E class. That's why there won't be an E63 coupe.

As for a sedan, 05 or 06 E55. Nothing better.

 

In Texas (weird Country that Sean lives), I also vote used E55.

Up here in cold country, an A6 with the 2.7 ltr twin turbo (dont make anymore) or an RS6 (2003 only).

g35 4 door, A4, A6, C350sport, 335 4 door, g8, cts (non v), maxima 09,
all of these would make great DD's, especially if your trying to save money!, As you said you are going to use it once or twice a week and they are great cars to commute back and forth from a university, classy but not too flashy.

Just drove a Hyundai Genesis 4.6 sedan w/ the tech package....absolutely splendid car. Light years better than the C class Merc. Will probably be my next car.

 

Cant get over the fact its a Hyundai...seems wrong to have Porsche and a Hyundai. They made cars like the Elantra. What a piece of junk. I say get a 4-door M3 and call it a day.
