Carbon Wing

Hello All,

I got a Carbon Wing that was given to me when I bought my car. Nice wing - a little oversized than the factory blade.

After being on my car a few months - the Carbon is starting to wave - it's just not a real quality piece.

I love how it looks on my car and what it ads. I would love to find another - and can on ebay etc - but concerned with the same quality. Looked on some sites and sponsors here to see if anyone had something to offer, but didn't find anything.

Looking for some help in pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks and have a great night,

Post a pic of the Wing we can try and help.... by what your saying I am guessing it is a Tech Art Carbon Fiber Replica, they are all over ebay and some of the vendors on the site sell them. Problem is, your right, the quality and fitment is not so great, I have one myself. My carbon fiber has not waved though yet.

I'll see if I can grab a pic. At first glance - it's very similar to this one here - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...ht_8322wt_1129

May not be the same make - but it's very close to the same style and look - if not the same.

Thats the exact wing I have, the fitment is just off though, I dont know what it is but everytime I look at my wing, for some reason (i might be crazy) it always looks like its a little higher on the passenger side.

Even if you look really closely at photos in the link you sent me, it still looks like the wing is not perfectly straight, the passenger side is the slightest bit higher then the driver side. Also the replicas dont have the groove for the brakelight so it hits the deck lit when fully lowered unless you use spacers or do something to avoid it.

I had a REAL techart wing and it didn't have the indent for the brake light either.

Take a look at the Strosek replica unit precision porsche sells. It has the indent and I like the style a LOT better. Mine has been in my garage waiting for my lazy *** to take it to the body shop for paint/install.

You could always buy the same exact piece from this guy on ebay for $1,000 shipped. Sure, it costs an extra $300, but at least he stole Edwin's pictures for his auction and provides no returns or warranties.

There's not much choices if you want to replace your decklid spoiler. The only other two that I know of are RUF and GT2 style wing.

Let me know if I can help!

Edwin
