That's because it is not true...the 996TTS has the same shifter mechanism...the only difference is the ****...LOL

A flash is not an OEM upgrade, so unless the dealer is offering this on its own this is not an option for the OP.

I cant remember exactly, maybe I just had it as an option. I do know that when everyone was changing their 996 shifters to 997 shifters, I was interested and talked to suncoast. They said that if you had the 996 short shifter come on your car from porsche, it's not worth it to get the 997 shifter.

I am disputing your claim that the 996TT-S comes standard with the SSK
I dont think you need the 997 shifter if you have a turbo S, it already comes with the short shifter standard.
....this is not true...it has the same identical PN as the non S version. If you bought a Porsche SSK and had it installed, that is a different story.

If you're sure the short shifter didnt come standard with a 996TTS then youre probably right.

I think u already have all your performance mods locked down on your car anyways.

my suggesting is buy spacers for your wheels....I put 7mm ones on my rims and it made a aggresive difference on the stance.

Suncoast Porsche has several performance mods listed on their site you may want to check out
GT3 sway bars sounds great. from what i've read I need thicker end links for the rear at least.. i dont know about the front.

what about OEM GT2 Front Sway Bar? I heard the GT2 front sway bar is thicker than the GT3's.. does this require thicker end links as well?

What about OEM GT2 Front Adj control arms? Does that help?

from what i've read the TTS already has the SSK, and all the CF interior parts. GT3 brake ducts sounds interesting.. the car already has the PCCB so it might not be neccessary.

Are there any exterior mods i can get that aren't much more than $1300? Is there sideskirts or anything?

i'd skip the roll bar because it probably looks a little silly in a turbo.. it belongs in a GT2/GT3. this X73 motor mounts thing sounds interesting. I'll have to do some research, but i imagine this would cause some serious vibrations, would it not?

shifting seems pretty tight in this car, i'll check the bill of sale to see if maybe it was on there. otherwise is there an actual porsche short shift kit for the 996tt? or do i just buy the 997 shifter?
