Question on ECU?

Bought a FVD progammed ECU off of E-Bay to go into my 2002 996tt.......does anyone know if it has to be flashed? If so does anyone know the procedure to do the flashing? Thanks

Yes it does need to be reprogramed for your specific car. You will need to send it to us and pay a fee (can't remember off the top of my head what it is) to have it redone. Call Bo @ 954-977-7130 ext.16 he can get it taken care of for you (I won't be in the office tomorrow).
Regards,
Evan

Hum, like I said I won't make it in to the office tomorrow or I would do it. However if you are brining your car they can do it. If so you can call in the morning ahead of time and give Bo your Vin # and confirm that the shop will be free they should be able to get it done for you!! I will write Bo an email letting him know you are going to call. FVD is in Pompano Beach (about 20 mins from Boca).

Was going to fly down, can they do it without the car, and with just the old ECU or Vin #?

Not unless we have another 996 in the shop (usually mine). Like I said, give Bo a call in the morning and see if we have a 996 available to do it. I don't believe we do tomorrow, but check anyway.
