How many miles do you guys log per year?
i just got mine w 27k on it in march 09. i've put 6k on it already!! thats insane! but mostly fwy and canyon road miles..( i live on one of the best driving roads in LA, mulholland dr, so going to the corner store is even a blast..) and thankfully, i believe that kind of daily driving helped me to discover the 2nd gear issue so quickly, which is as i type this, is being resolved.. my 07 335i now sits in my garage unless my gf steals it on weekend mornings, if and when i'm in recovery mode
..which is what i love about this car. it is truly a DD, even w the 6spd.. and now that its trans is essentially going to be brand new, ( just heard back from my folks at the what is now for me the best porsche dealership on earth, "auto gallery" in woodland hills, and it'll be finished by next week!..) i feel like the car is essentially new also. i just can't leave it alone, and the 335 is always fun, handles sick and is fast as hell considering it too is a TT, but not FUN! like this. i hit PCH and malibu canyon now religiously every weekend before any traffic begins for the sheer fun of it...and this is indeed what they're meant for. mileage be damned...
i'll probably give it a rest soon, but as for now? what for. love it.

Amazing! I think many of us wish we could spend that much seat time in our TT's. I figured up the hours you must have put in the car and that many hours in therapy would be around $575,000 - so TT therapy is quite a bargain!
Congrats on the milestone and I wish you many, many more good miles!

Here is a list of the repairs to the vehicle. It has the original clutch, tranny and turbos in it. T2 knocks on wood.
· All three front radiators
· water pump
· coolant expansion tank (as a precaution with water pump)
· power steering pump/reservoir (for the annoying squeal)
· right front bearing, left rear bearing
· front diff (due to front bearing issue)
· clutch accumulator and slave cylinder (4 times now for the slave - one time lasted only 4 days and it failed - PCNA pulled all the parts on the shelves in the US as a result of this and a few others in the country with a similar issue)
· wiring harness repair (passenger side front most cylinder – harness to the coil pack chaffing issue)
· rear main seal (while engine was down for a wiring harness repair we pulled the tranny to inspect the bearings, clutch, pressure plate and flywheel)
· two bearings in the clutch assembly – one was bad, one was fine
· Decarbon the secondary air ports from the intakes to the exhaust
· Gas cap – the gasket finally went at 186,000+ miles
· Check valve and carbon canister on the vapor recovery system for the fuel tank
· normal services done on time
· brake pads (only on the 4th rear set and 5th front set - car has PCCB's and is tracked 6-10 days/year)
· oil changes every 5000 miles religiously
· tranny and diff fluids every 60,000 miles
· Baileys DV's
· GT-3 Cup front brake ducts
