How many miles do you guys log per year?
THAT IS JUST AWESOME...that is my philosophy also, drive the $hit out the car....that is what you bought it for.
Yeah it's the stock clutch - been through my share of slave cylinders though - we had the clutch, pressure plate and flywheel apart back at 176,000+ miles, at that time the clutch had 90% thickness left (as compared with a new stock clutch). I do my hard launches occasionally but not frequently - not my gig. I do attribute the longevity of the clutch to rev matching when shifting. It also gets plenty of stop and go, bumper to bumper traffic driving as well on many of my commutes. T2 knocks on wood!!
I am averaging about 200 - 300 miles per month. I work from home and travel a lot and do not leave it at the Airport.... Currently it has 6010 Miles. It is really only a W/E and errand driver for me.

WOW! It's been fun reading everyones varying miles and the justification. I am feeling better about the miles I have put on my car. I am 31 and this is my first car at this level. I think it will get out my system soon and the miles per year will drop. I think i would have a harder time only putting 1k miles on my car per year
P.S. I think the BMW 335I iw/procede ECU upgrade the best DD. It makes me miss the 996TT much less

Bought my 03 with 9500 miles (approx.). Had around 12.5K when hit mule deer less than 3 weeks after getting car.
Car has 2 year, 100K mile CPO warranty. As soon car repaired -- maybe as early as this week (accident happened July 3rd) -- going to drive the car, a lot.
Have put over 223K miles on my 02 Boxster. Still on original engine and clutch. These cars if taken care of -- regular and frequent oil/filter services (I like every 5K miles) -- love to be driven and are the better car for it.
I fiqure the person who owned my 03 Turbo from new paid about $8/mile for those 9400 to 9500 miles he put on car.
Sincerely,
Macster.

Macster,
I have religiously changed my oil every 5000 miles, when things break I fix them and it has always had all the regular maintenance done - when driven regularly they are reliable and bulletproof and provide perma grins at least twice a day!! T2 knocks again on wood.......

Here is a list of the repairs to the vehicle. It has the original clutch, tranny and turbos in it. T2 knocks on wood.
· All three front radiators
· water pump
· coolant expansion tank (as a precaution with water pump)
· power steering pump/reservoir (for the annoying squeal)
· right front bearing, left rear bearing
· front diff (due to front bearing issue)
· clutch accumulator and slave cylinder (4 times now for the slave - one time lasted only 4 days and it failed - PCNA pulled all the parts on the shelves in the US as a result of this and a few others in the country with a similar issue)
· wiring harness repair (passenger side front most cylinder – harness to the coil pack chaffing issue)
· rear main seal (while engine was down for a wiring harness repair we pulled the tranny to inspect the bearings, clutch, pressure plate and flywheel)
· two bearings in the clutch assembly – one was bad, one was fine
· Decarbon the secondary air ports from the intakes to the exhaust
· Gas cap – the gasket finally went at 186,000+ miles
· Check valve and carbon canister on the vapor recovery system for the fuel tank
· normal services done on time
· brake pads (only on the 4th rear set and 5th front set - car has PCCB's and is tracked 6-10 days/year)
· oil changes every 5000 miles religiously
· tranny and diff fluids every 60,000 miles
· Baileys DV's
· GT-3 Cup front brake ducts

My 1999 Audi A8 4.2 has 174000 and my Audi 1998 A4 2.8 has 197000. My 2003 TT has 22500. Only pull it out maybe every other weekend... Sad to say, but in the summer the weekends are spent on the boat! I want to drive it more but I spend more time making sure I park it in the correct spot, not to close to trucks, you know the drill. In my A8 I can just ram into shopping carts!
I drive my car every chance I get whether its running to the store or driving to work. I don't live too far from any of my daily destinations so its tough for me to put huge miles on the car. I also don't like to drive it in the rain. I will if I have to but prefer not. Guess I average about 8,000 miles a year. If it was double that it wouldn't bother me.
Mine is a DD. Got on the car on Oct 18th 2009 w/ 67,400. It now has 73,400. Looks like I'm on pace for about 14,400. I did take a trip the 1st weekend I had it that was about 800 miles round trip. So 13,000+ is still what I would be looking at.
I drive my TT around 6-7,000 miles per year. The prior owner only put 275 miles on it over 3 years of ownership; I figure each mile driven cost him about $200.00 ! I would drive it more than I do now, but I have other cars, motorcycles, etc that also need some use.
Amazing. You drive about 2 1/2 hours each day for work? I see 60 PSI on the oil pressure, you have just elimated any fears I have had about the life of our motors!
