Got my Dyno Done!
Merlin,
FYI - The 70mm SpeedTech has dynoed 42 AWHP increase over a stock exhaust, which is about a 50 HP increase at the crank. It is a straight through design and is about as unrestrictive as you can get for an exhaust design...the only restriction being the cats.
Congrats on the great numbers!

To the Op , For your reference. I dynoed 340 awhp on my fullt stock k16 car ( just like it came from factory) on a dynodynamics. But with a flash alone i was at 400 awhp and 480tq on Dynodynamics dyno.
I see you have an exhaust and coilpacks..which might add some ..but 400awhp is an exceptional number esp if its at .7 bar. If its 1 bar ...your cannot be stock it must have a flash. Adding 100 oct without flash which adjusts timing will not gain so much.

Hey guys,
I got my car back today from BBI today. It was in for an oil change and some new BBI coil-packs.
Finally got my dyno done to baseline, and what a surprise I got. I had put EVOMS diverter valves on it when I 1st got it, threw some tire and wheels on, GT3 UMW LWFW and clutch when my throwout bearing exploded, and the thing ran great!
I never saw more than .7 bar with what I had.
I decide to get an exhaust, speedtech 70mm, which made it sound real nice. I started running a 100 Octane fuel, and then I started seeing 1.0 bar. Man I was surprised to see that.
Well to the dyno. Thinking hopefully 360HP would be nice, and BAM 407HP to the wheels
.
I did not think this was possible. Can you believe that?
Well I am excited!

That would make since.
I just thought Porsche dealership would have kicked back my warranty before if that was the case, but i guess they didn't even look.
I am still pretty stoked about the HP though. Hopefully next week, I can get the car back over to BBi for a scan to see for sure what is what.

John,
Do know at what range was the HP seen? Most exhausts add HP in the low end due to faster spool, but don't add as much peak HP.
Are we talking about the cross flow exhaust?

Thanks, Art, Alex.
Ari, I am speaking about the Speedtech 70mm conventional design that Merlin has on his car. It began making more power at 2450 RPM's and quickly increased both power and torque, from this point on. By 3,800 RPM the increase was about 35AWHP. It remained at this level with no dips until 6,200 RPM's, where it shot up to 42 AWHP until 6,500 RPM's at which point, the dyno stopped recording. The trend was upward at 6500 RPM's and we may have seen more if the dyno went further. Here is a scan of the OEM vs. 70mm, so you can see what I am talking about. Everyone in the room was very impressed with this repeatable result, which was the same day, same car, same dyno - done just 1 hour or so apart. We even swapped exhausts without removing the straps from the dyno...

I'm really excited to see what improvements our exhaust system can make on his car, if he ever decides to step up. If i recall correctly we made 50+ whp over stock exhaust. On my car we made 35+whp over a Milltek. And on another GT700 we made 28whp over a europipe.
Will keep you guys updated with the numbers.
Looking toward to that Coil pack thread, keep it coming. Sorry for the thread hi-jack Merlin

Good eye. As others have said, He is most likely flashed. We'll have it sorted next time.

Ok, I took the car in today to get the file read. I am just waiting for the report as to what tune is done. Hopefully this afternoon I will have it.
No scan yet on the dyno sheet, will get that soon.
