TEXAS MILE: This October 16-18
I"ve been to the last 3 events: what I noticed are:
Stock 500hp ZO6's are in the early 170's.
1000hp Porsche's & Ford GT's are just barely breaking 200mph
Stands to reason that 750hp will get you about 180-185 depending on weight.
Also, some days you have a generous tail wind, some days you don't: but there's always a 20-25mph (min) wind: either tail or head which will add/subtract 10-ish MPH off your runs assuming you're in the 170-180mph range. Mark

edit edit edit... Dr. Jitsus only needs 550whp in his GT2
I know of a GT2 GIAC stg 4 on race file with bad headwind ran ~176 (~550 rwhp) a couple of years ago. Keep in mind Mike a GT2 will be slower in a mile event due to greater downforce created by the larger spoiler.
Ben check with Steve on the MPH for the Carrera GT,it was Jeff's Carrera.

Your numbers were correct ..... I'll get the other numbers tonight.

Joe's Turbo which is I believe was around 920hp did 231 last time. Alex's Turbo which is also around the 1000hp (presumably lower considering Joe's power) mark did 220ish. Blackhorseturbo did 192 and he only had 550whp. Its so hard to really nail it down.
Joe correct me if my figures are wrong on the power ..... I don't want to publish bad info.

i hope you can bro!! Keep us upated though.
I think weather greatly effects these numbers as you said.

Joe's car was at 920, I believe..keep in mind that these Hp numbers you are using are not a good reference number. These numbers vary depending on what Dyno, temp, tune...etc This is why dyno numbers are just good to see where the car is making power & have a base run before the mods to see the increase.

Great point Tom. I will edit my initial post. Look forward to seeing Top Gun at the mile.
Yea, when I ran 192 this earlier year, (with my failing tranny) I was making 525 at 1.3 bar. Which is the boost I ran during that pass and 189Mph at 1.1 bar on the other pass. BUT, that day was PERFECT with a 15 mph tail wind.

Your 1/4 mile trap speeds suggest over 600RWHP. A tail wind never hurts at the mile.
