TEXAS MILE: This October 16-18
My observations from the Texas mile:
1. If you are going to run you have to have brass or stainless steel *****!!
2. Bring lots of tape. More than you think you will ever use.
3. Bring sun screen.
4. Bring a 4-wheeler/ Ranger/ Mule there is a lot of walking or find a friend with one (Paulie)
5. Bring a camera with a good zoom lens.

I agree with all the above statements, I learned the first time at the mile either ride back & forth in car of the best method with a mule/Ranger. I still got fried I look like a big lobster face.
I had 3-4 layers of sun screen on by the end of the day. I got a little red on my arms, but nothing like a year and a half ago when I damn near passed out because I was sun burned so bad!
In March I plan on taking our Polaris RZR to the event. It's not as big as the Ranger, but the biatch does do 65mph.

Texas Mile every weekend?
ok,
I missed out on the Texas Mile.
does anyone know, if they open every weekend?
if not,
does some other mile long race way in Houston give out certificates and options to buy tee shirts?
Did anyone run a stock 911 C4S? a Stock Lambo?
a Stock Vett?
Would MPH did they run?
Vrooooom

Nowhere else in Texas does this to my knowledge.
A stock 997 Carrera ran 155. Not sure about a stock gallardo I would imagine around 175ish.
i think the gallardo hit 160

My forehead has peeled almost completely, and my neck is still on fire.
Sun Screen and sun screen chap stick
Race gas'
Duct Tape.
Red Bull and Beer,
Binoculars, digital camera and video camera
comfortable chair and big cooler with lots of ice,
at least a small pimp roll,
It is among the greatest of times, especially with all the
Porsche envelopes being pushed and broken!

Marty i'm in the same boat. My neck, ears, and face are peeling badly. My lips actually blistered from being so sunburned/chapped.
In March I really hope we can all pit a little closer to each other and put all the bs/drama aside and have fun exactly the way we did this year.
