What you hear is true. The yellow UGR lambo lit up about 3/4 mile and was on fire till about the end of the turn off for the run... the crew at texas mile was quick to extingish the fire. The car blew its motor, pieces of it were found on the track (rod caps and piston pieces). All I can assume is the car threw a rod broke the case, and oil hit the glowing red hot headers/turbos/exhaust

that sucks. so oil line came off causing motor to run dry in a 20 second run and blow? seems like there had to be something else, like maybe the motor going caused the line to separate causing the fire. Either way glad there was no injuries.

Damn sucks for Grant, he's been waiting to take delivery of the car after the mile and get some use out of it. I'm sure he'll be back and build it better than ever.

My observations from the Texas mile:
1. If you are going to run you have to have brass or stainless steel *****!!
2. Bring lots of tape. More than you think you will ever use.
3. Bring sun screen.
4. Bring a 4-wheeler/ Ranger/ Mule there is a lot of walking or find a friend with one (Paulie)
5. Bring a camera with a good zoom lens.
