I'd seriously hope that, six years later, these would no longer be in the prototype stage. After all, it's just some tubing

Seriously, numerous board sponsors carry similar kits. Markski and John of Speedtech exhaust come to mind (amongst others).

While I do not profess to be an expert on 996 intake tubing, I can not imagine that the transmission will make a difference. The bellhousing on the tip will not be significantly larger (diameter) than the manual. And none of the vendors have anything regarding manual transmission only.

Where did you come up with the idea that you need a special system for a tip?

These require a pretty involved installation, so the difference would not be that great to adjust for a tip. For a tip, if you find a good tech that can think on the fly, the piping can be modified to fit. You just need someone that has the ability to make a slight modification using pre-bent pieces (aluminum tubing or silicon hose) to get around the transmission and then rejoin the hard pipe. If I had a tip, that is what I would do....
