Thumbs up FYI, Oil drain locations

After posting the photos for the turbo install, I decided to use one for informative purposes. If you are changing your oil, these are the four drain points. Just thought some you may need this info.

Thanks

I just took a day off work to put on over 800 miles on my car (total 1,230 now). I was being driven crazy (pun intended) while keeping the revs below 4,200, so, off for a road trip.

Now, I intend to change the fluids and your little pictures will help as I have yet to get under the car. Thanks.

I may try to do the same with the other fluid locations if anyone is interested.

Fantastic!!

You must be a mind reader. I was just going to post this questions and I saw your post!

Can I assume correctly that I need to drain the oil and just change the filter then fill er up?

Is there any order I need to follow when draing?

Thanks

Periokid,
No particular order. You should get new washers for each of the four locations. The new filter should come with a new O ring. Some people replace the o ring on the oil filter shaft as well but I did not. The toughest time I had was finding Mobil One in 0W40 weight.

I have plenty of the 0W-40.

My Mercedes takes the same oil so I already have it. Wal-Mart of all places has it.

Go figure.

Thanks for the info.

I know some people recommend dropping all the fluids after break in.

Any info on transmision and differential oil changes?

Mobil 1

Autozone also has 0w40. The smaller older Walmart's may not have it.

Besides the sockets for the oil tank and block drain plugs you will need an open end wrench for the nut behind the drain plug on the oil tank. You will need an allen wrench for the turbo oil reservoirs and a cap type filter wrench. That is about it.
