New Jersey/Pennsylvania Sept. 28 Meet ROLL CALL REQUIRED!!
This is going to be one fine turn out!!
I need some opinions guys. It will be difficult to make everyone happy so I wanted to get a feel for peoples' wants and desires. There are two alternatives for the drive to the Lake and an additional two alternatives for the drive from the Lake to the Brewery. I will not release the exact routes until Sunday. Everyone will receive written route directions at the start.
I did a dry run yesterday in the MINI to make sure all of it made sense and it made me realize that I want to take the MINI!! I just love driving that damn thing. What do you have to say about that?
Dunkin' Donuts to Lake
Lake to Brewery
My preference is #1 and #1 since it is definitely more scenic. In addition, we don't want to arrive at the Brewery too early.
Opinions please.

- We can take the originally planned route which is twisty and scenic and uses backroads. It will run by the river for a portion and then through some very twisty roads, although not high speed. This will probably reduce the liklihood of running into traffic or police. The general speeds will be between 30 and 60 mph.
- We can take a route that immediately puts us on Route 78 for a short while for those guys that can't resist high speed, high hp comparisons. I am not condoning or influencing anything here, just asking for opinions. Following the highway, there will be some backroads driving to the lake but we will miss all the really twisty interesting stuff.
Lake to Brewery
- We can take the originally planned route which is twisty and scenic and uses backroads. This will probably reduce the liklihood of running into traffic or police. The general speeds will be between 30 and 60 mph. One section is newly paved and not very wide but it is like a mini racetrack.
- We take backroads to a halfway point to the Brewery and then take secondary roads that will lead to Route 202 to again allow more high speed travel. Much of the twisty stuff will be avoided by doing this.
My preference is #1 and #1 since it is definitely more scenic. In addition, we don't want to arrive at the Brewery too early.

I'd vote #2, #1. If the roads are too twisty, I'm gonna make my wife sick. Don't want that in a car I've had less than 1 week.
If #2 is taken to the lake (and is a faster route), extra time can always be spent there.
Regardless of route choice, I'm not going to complain.

Just a foot note on the rt 202
As of lately rt 202 seems to getting patrolled more aggresively and I would not recommend the high speed blast occuring there!!!! Just a friendly note so no one goes to the clink!!!!
Also in and around New Hope (location of the brewery) Is being patrolled @ an INSANE level DO NOT SPEED WITH IN 5-10 MILES of New Hope. They are really cracking down (we know from experience)

Hey guys...I am in for the driving portion of this trip...I will not be able to stay for the lunch since i need to get back and catch a flight that afternoon. Either of the routes sound awesome...although I wouln't mind hearing some of those turbos at WOT.
I live in PA and frequently travel the stretch of I-78 being discussed. Unfortunately, both the NJ and PA segments of I-78 are heavily patrolled by the respective State Police. There is also a lot of truck traffic in the area. If we want to drive fast, we should go to another destination. Otherwise, my recommendation is to take the scenic route for this meet and schedule another meet on a more appropriate stretch of road. Look forward to seeing everyone and a great group of P-cars.

Mansour,
Hey listen you've got BIG POWER, it better not take you 3.5-4.5 hrs to get down here!!!! If you leave on sunday and you are bold you could probably do it in 3 hours (that would require using some of your recently acquired power!!
) . Overall should be a pretty painless trip for you!!!!!

Mansour,
It would be great if you could make it!! While you are at it, contact John C. (jcramair) with his 600 hp beast and come down together!! Let's show the 6speed California and Florida contingents that we Northeasterners know how to assemble!!!
Do your best! It would be great to meet you!
