OK, this is turning into one heck of a get together!! Historical even!! California and Florida contingents eat your hearts out!!! Haha!!!
Just to prime the pump a bit, so far we have the following confirmed people:
  1. Myself (02TT/600hp)
  2. Tony@PES (02TT/700hp)
  3. Colin@PES (Riding with Tony)
  4. Hani (02C4S)
  5. Bill (02TT)
  6. Pritam (03 Boxster)
  7. David (02TT)
  8. Harold (03TTX50)
  9. Loren (02TT?)
  10. Todd (01TT)
  11. Sean (02TT/RUF/550hp)
  12. Andy (95 993)
  13. Mark (97 993TT)
  14. Ameer (03C2)
  15. Anthony (02TT)
  16. Buddy (02TT/700hp)
  17. Rob (02TT)

There are five other guys I really want to attend. They are Dan, Darren, and Andrew from NYC/LI and Mansour and John from MA. Come on guys, we can pull of the meet off the century. Bite the bullet and take the drive to meet everyone!!

I also understand Colin knows several others that have expressed interest. We need confirmations for the brewery though so if you are in, you must let me know TODAY!!

By rough calculation, I am estimating we will have approximately 7,000 horsepower even if the final five don't show up.

WHOA!!!

I'm almost bone stock in my 97 993TT. The only after market thing in there is a K40 radar detector with front and rear sensors.

But I just picked up the car 6 hours ago, so please gimme a chance!

I'm gonna stay away from you 700HP guys cuz you'll make me feel inadequate.

I'd love to hear how a bone stock 993TT does in a straight line against any stock 996 TTs that might be there. Please post a report if you do get a chance to play.

I liked the write up of the 993 turbo versus the 996 turbo. I have owned both, so I feel I can give a pretty good comparison as well. I LOVE the fat fender look of the 993 turbo. However as the comparison noted when the 2 cars are side by side the very upright windshield and the ugly rain gutters of the 993 look outdated compared to the 996.

Inside there is no comparsion the 996 turbo creams the 993. The 993 is working on the basic interior layout that has been around for 40 years.

Comfort again goes to the 996, much more comfortable to drive for long distances. I drove both over 700 miles on trips from MI to NJ in the 996 and from NY to MI in the 993.

The writeup does talk about the 996 being synthetic and that is why we MODIFY the 996. Put the Stage 5 kit, with Fabspeed exhuast and KW coilover suspension on the 996 turbo and tell me the 996 turbo is synthetic! NOT!!!

You cannot go wrong with either car but as most people say buy the lastest model car you can afford. I would agree with this.

Porsche there is no substitute!

I've heard both the pro-993 and pro-996 argued equally well. I certainly won't deny the 993 interior is a little bland. I prefer the big fat *** of the 993, but then I like the front end of the 996 better.

For now, I don't care if the 996 is more comfortable, because compared to the 986 I had until a month ago, the 993 is a thousand times better for me.

Either way, I'm much looking forward to oogling all the great cars this weekend.

Yowzers! That picture almost argues that it's better to drive behind a Porsche than in one!
