Yet Another Diverter Valve Question

I was wondering, if anyone tried just installing 1 valve instead of 2 as they are simply in Parallel. I know 2 have double the throughput, but is it really needed? I do not know. It would certainly half the failure rate. The Holes for the rear unit can be plugged.

I was just curious if anyone had tried this. Not saying I was contimplating it for a moment, just curious if anyone had done some tests. I searched but could not find anything on a single unit.

Also does anyone know the part number of the valve on the Turbo S? Is it the upgraded valve 0-280-142-110 or the stock crappy one?

Thanks

SWR
