Question Boost Levels And Octane Ratings

Ok, so I know the answer ultimately comes down to AFRs, but as a general guide, how much boost can be run for a given octane rating?

What can be run before timing starts being pulled?

What variables need to be taken into consideration?
Octane
AFRs
Turbos
Meth
etc...

This is a question at ONLY your tuner can answer about your specific tune.

Octane doesn't automatically give you the ability to turn boost up.

Very complicated question but if you keep your boost up to 1,0bar there is no need to worry...

Octane is one element, as heat is another. The higher the octane rating the more the fuel is resistant to detonation. The lower the head/combustion chamber temperatures the less likely you are to experience detonation as you advance the timing.

What may this have to do with boost. With higher the octane and the lower the head temperatures ........... the more you can advance the timing achieving higher boost while helping to avoid detonation.
