omg!!!!!!!!
"Boxster?! Steering wheel? You fellas don't understand the CGT 'mission.'"
From Autocar:
"How well Porsche has managed to incorporate familiar controls with bespoke detailing to create something that is unmistakenly Porsche. Are plain old 996 dials with yellow needles good enough at this sort of wedge? Possibly not, but crash regulations dictated that entire steering column with indicator stalks be used. "
I think most of us are happy to have the boxster/996 steering column, wheel, stalks etc vs. having to spread the cost of a couple crash cars over the production run causing prices to be higher. that'd be one of the most expensive steering wheel. column, stalks, and gauges imaginable. i'd rather hear that cash singing in the V10.

I can't believe some of you guys are hating on one of the sweetest cars ever made. This is hands-down the best road-going Porsche ever made, this side of the GT1 roadcar and 959.
the sound of the engine reminds me of the F50!!!!! another gem...
