Eric,

You know that car is waiting for you to plug it's nose, plug it's ears, and plug it's tail. Common. Practice what you preach

you guys also have to understand that the pressure you're putting on Eric to purchase the Turbo is easier than the pressure he will have to deal with later on with his finances ... if some of you know him and are aware that he can afford the upgrade then by all means give him the "DO IT" but if everyone just thinks $130K is chump change then the "DO IT" doesn't sound so smart now does it?

Why buy a 996 for all that cash when the 997 comes out next year?

wow, nicely put!!! good job. also, the 997 is SUCH a better looking car, i would personally wait until the turbo or gt3 version of that came out and save a little money in the mean time with your similarly body style 996 for awhile....that IS, if you are not super loaded like some of us who can not flip cars at every model change! 997 looks much more 993, which IMHO is the last great looking porsche. after all, doesn't the 996 represent the quickest restyle of interior/exterior of any of the 911 series??? am i wrong? let me know...not trying to flame, just curious.

Any sparkling , brand new turbo sitting in a showroom would be very tempting for any person to pull the trigger. I would take a step back and think about all the options it has and make sure that is what you want. Don't pull the trigger on your emotions on a love at first site and that temptation. It is a lot a cash and you will regret later if you saw another turbo with perhaps different color and/or options that you may have compromised for. Listen to your heart!! (or the sound of the turbo) TC

Eric,
Take a deep breath, count to ten, slowly get in your beautiful red C4S Cab and drive away.
